Glasses are perfect for concealing dark under-eye circles. However, they often change the look of our eyes for the worse—if you’re nearsighted, they make your eyes look smaller.
In our makeup tips for glasses wearers, we’ll show you how to use makeup to make your eyes look bigger.

Step by Step

Define your eyebrows using a small brush. Apply eyebrow powder with an angled brush, following the direction of your eyebrow hair growth. A light powder shade defines your eyebrow shape without making the eyes look smaller.
Glasses can easily dominate your face. Beautifully shaped and defined lashes help balance out the glasses.

Apply an eyeshadow base first to help your makeup last longer. When applying eyeshadow, keep in mind that lighter, natural shades reflect the light and make your eyes look larger. Use matte pigments to highlight your eye crease, the curve of your eyelid and the lower lid. Apply a light, shimmery eyeshadow all over your mobile eyelid to make your eyes look bigger.
Make sure you blend the eyeshadows well, or else your eyes will look smaller.

Use an eyeliner to draw a line along your lash line, starting from the outer eye corner and moving towards the center of your eyelid.
Lastly, lightly blend the lash line with an eyelash pencil, as a harsh contour will make your eyes look smaller.

Use a white eyeliner to draw a line along your waterline.
A lighter shade along the waterline will make your eyes look noticeably larger.

Get bigger eyes by applying mascara to your outer lashes— fanned lashes make your eyes look bigger.
A colored mascara adds extra dimension and gives the look that extra oomph.

Don’t apply your blush until you’ve put your glasses on. That way, you can use the shape of your glasses as a guide.
You shouldn’t apply any blush under your glasses, as it can mess up the blending
